The Therapist Website · £995
A complete practice website, bought without a sales process.
Everything included, everything excluded, and what happens on each day of it. This page forms part of the service terms, which is why it is long — the price is not.
£995 £500 to begin. £495 when you approve the finished website, before it goes live. Includes the first year of Website Care.
How a project begins. Tell me which design you like and roughly where your practice is up to. I read it, say plainly whether I am the right person, and confirm the scope and the price in writing. If you want to go ahead, I send you a payment link for the first £500 and the questionnaire follows. The Therapist Website Service Terms, cancellation and refund information and privacy notice apply, and are worth reading before you decide.
A reply within two working days. Nothing is agreed, and nothing is payable, until the scope and price are confirmed in writing.
Scope, stated in full
£995Fixed. £500 to begin. £495 when you approve the finished website, before it goes live. The balance is due once you have approved it, not when I say it is finished.

Revisions
Two consolidated rounds, shared by words and design.
At each round you review the website as a whole and send one complete, prioritised list. Copy changes and design changes share the same two rounds. Feedback sent as a stream of separate messages is held and treated as one round when it is complete.
The Direction Note is separate and comes first. One consolidated revision of the note is included, and it does not use up one of the two website rounds — the point of the note is that the direction is settled before there is a built website to change.
A round does not include a new brief, a different design or a different structural direction; additional pages; rework caused by information supplied late or changed after written approval; or features outside the chosen design system.
Responsibilities
Who does what, and what happens if a project goes quiet.
What I do
- Reply to project messages within two working days
- Tell you what is missing from your intake rather than guessing
- Make the detailed design decisions, and explain the significant ones
- Say so in writing before doing anything outside the agreed scope
What you do
- Reply to questions and approval requests within five working days
- Check factual and professional details before approving launch
- Make sure the published website meets your membership body's requirements
If a project goes quiet
- After 30 days with no reply, I send a written reminder
- After 60 days, the project is treated as dormant and my time is reallocated
- Dormancy does not by itself create a refund, and does not end the contract
- I do not verify professional registrations, and I do not provide regulatory or advertising compliance advice
Practice Clarity
A separate job, if the practice itself is not decided.
This website service turns your answers into a website. Practice Clarity produces the answers: positioning, audience, language and how the services should be organised, written down as a short Practice Direction you keep. £500, agreed in writing and invoiced separately.
It is not part of this checkout and not a version of this website. Most therapists do not need it. If your intake shows that you do, I will say so before anything starts.
Additional work
Nothing extra happens without a written quote.
Work outside the agreed scope is quoted as a fixed price in writing before it begins, starts only when you confirm, and is invoiced separately. That includes extra pages, a change of direction after the build has started, features outside the chosen design system, and substantial copywriting.
After launch
Website Care. Included for the first twelve months.
Care runs from the day the website goes live. After twelve months it continues at £29 a month if you want it, with no minimum term, and stops at the end of the month you tell me to stop it.
You are equally free to host the finished website yourself, or with another suitable provider, at any point. I will hand over what is needed to do that.
Care covers
- Hosting the website on the studio's infrastructure
- The TLS certificate, renewed automatically
- Deployments, and keeping the build working
- Dependency and security updates
- Version history, so any change can be reverted
- Help pointing your domain, and with DNS changes
- Fixing faults in the website or its deployment
Care does not cover
- Design changes, new pages or content updates
- Writing, or rewriting, your content
- Guaranteed uptime, or round-the-clock monitoring
- Your domain registration fee
- Email hosting or mailboxes
- Third-party services, supplied under their own terms
- Marketing, SEO campaigns or directory management
Third-party services — domain registrars, form services, font and image licensors — are supplied under their own terms. I am not responsible for their availability, performance or pricing.
Ownership
What is yours, and what is licensed to you.
Yours outright
- The copy, images, logos and practice information you supply
- The finished, customised website produced for your practice, on receipt of full payment
- Your domain name, in your own account
Licensed to you
- The underlying design system, layout, code and Studio-created design assets
- A non-exclusive, perpetual, non-transferable licence, granted on full payment
- For use as part of one website, for your own practice
Not permitted
- Reselling, redistributing or sublicensing the design system
- Reusing it for a second website, or for another practice
- Unless you ask me in writing not to, I may show the finished website in my portfolio
Cancellation and refunds
What you get back depends on how far the work has gone.
Before the project officially begins, a full refund is made, less any payment processing fee Stripe does not return. After the start but before the first version, a proportionate amount is retained for work already carried out and I show you how the figure was worked out. After the first version, refunds are not usually available other than where the law requires it.
Consumer cancellation rights, business purchases and the full position are set out on the cancellation and refunds page, which forms part of the terms.
Process
The whole sequence, and the three points where you decide something.
The three marked your decision are the ones you are asked to make. The rest is my work. The project officially begins once your completed questionnaire and materials have been received and checked, and I have confirmed the start date in writing — paying the first instalment does not start the build, and does not reserve a slot.
- You choose a direction — your decisionFrom the collection, or ask me which fits your practice best. Free to change until your intake is complete.
- The scope is confirmed, and you pay £500I put the scope and the price in writing first, then send you a payment link for the first instalment.
- You complete the questionnaireThe written intake, plus your words, images and practical details.
- I check the intakeAnd tell you what is missing. Nothing starts until it is complete.
- I confirm the start dateIn writing. This is the point the project officially begins.
- You approve the Direction Note — your decisionA short written note within five working days: what I have understood, the palette and typefaces, the page structure, the decisions I have made, and what I am deliberately not doing. Nothing is built until you agree with it. One consolidated revision of the note is included.
- I tailor and buildPalette, typography, structure, hierarchy and your words, made into a website, to the note you approved.
- Round oneYou review the whole website and send one complete, prioritised list.
- Round twoThe same again, and then the website is finished.
- You approve the finished website — your decisionIn writing, confirming you have checked the content, including factual and professional details. The £495 balance is invoiced once you have given it, and the website is made live after that. Nothing goes live without it.
- Launch, handover and careMade live, handed over, thirty days of corrections, and a year of Website Care.
A Therapist Website usually takes two to four weeks from the confirmed start date, provided replies arrive within the times above. Timescales are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed dates unless agreed in writing.
